Weather in the Reserve

To monitor weather conditions in the reserve, in 2017 a grant from Ku-ring-gai Council’s Small environmental grants program allowed Ku-ring-gai Bat Conservation Society to purchase and install a permanent weather station in a clearing in the middle of the flying-fox camp. The station is a Davis Instruments Vantage Pro Plus, connected through a Davis Vantage Connect 3G system. The station updates every 15 minutes, and gives us accurate information on conditions actually being experienced in the camp by the flying-foxes.
